Look, this is two cross-connected industries: textile fabric and trade center. They are too close to each other. They are both connected with station 1. The trade center connected with station 2 also. There are a train between station 1 and station 2. And no textile are generated.
program version: simutrans-nightly r4543;
pak128-nightly r506.

I never considered this a bug.  Basically, since station 1 serves both industries, it takes care of all shipping between the two industries(therefore no train needed, station 2 is redundant).  I take advantage of this whenever it comes, because I can complete an industry chain with one less train...

Dwachs

If both factories are covered by one station, the goods are delivered to this station but immediately fetched by the receiving industry. No transport generated.

This is intended.

I met this direct sharing of goods very long time ago - and looked on it like goose into bottle - like you.

And also in currently played game I have one such pair.

Such pairs make money too - but owing to those goods are shared directly, amount of earnt money is very small - because small amount of goods is taken by consumer - but these earnt money are cheap and steady.

It is all for this time. I hope that this experience will help you.

No! you all have hot understand me.
Point is that there are NO goods delivered to the station from the first one, and NO goods fetched by the nearstanding industry. direct sharing of goods is broken. This is a bug.

DirrrtyDirk

Have you checked if these two industries actually have a contract? BTW the screenshot is more or less worthless for most users here, since almost nobody can read it. Please change to language to English before making the screenshot.

Term direct sharing is nonsense - but I used it for easier description of behavior of goods between both factories

Problem is in this:

1. producer factories produces goods in packs of about ten pieces (some times more, some times lesser - affected mostly by electrification of factory)
2. because consumer factory is connected to the same station as producer factory, time delay between delivering of goods into station from producer factory and accepting of goods by consumer factory is very short (almost negligible)
3. so it seems like no goods are produced by the first factory and no goods are accepted by the second factory

... so for seeing of this is needed to have opened dialogues of station and both factories and the same time. And also, and it is very important, pay attention to amount of produced good in producer factory - because there you should see that goods are produced. After delivering to station that pack of goods will stay there for somw time. With consumer factory where consumption of goods is slow it would be seen easily.

Ok, look at the bigger screenshot in English.

Textile factory are producing goods, but goods are staying in the factory's storage.
The factories are crossconnected, it's a 100%!

I've installed newer versions:

The bug is the same.

Vonjo

Or, maybe the station is full...

A screenshot might not help here, if I recall, in this situation the recipient will take a bit, then consume it, then take a bit.  If you keep looking at the shopping mall, under textiles, the number should go up a little and then go back to 0 (the way I see it, the shopping mall consumes in a just-in-time fashion).

Try to reproduce the same situation: just build an oil field and a refinery near it. Then crossconnect it and build a freight yard, connected with them both.  (I think, it will be quicker, that sending you a savegame)
In nightly, it will not work, but in the stable it works perfectly.

If you had only said this in the first place, not all of us play the latest nightly :)  Sorry for the confusion!

You are correct, I can reproduce the problem in r4577.  If two industries (one is customer of the other) are connected to the same station, they can no longer ship directly to each other.

will be fixed as soon as the svn server is up again.

Edit: fixed in r4589.
