Will this one be updated? Link: http://bridgewater-brunel.me.uk/downloads/Pak128.Britain-Ex-0.9.2

No, that is not the nightly version. That is an old version.

I do not understand the question. That link is to an outdated file compiled manually: it should be considered deprecated. The latest builds are available in the link given in the original post in this thread. There is no use in having the latest builds in two different places on the same server: that would be silly.

I just want to use a BritStation-Ex.pak with allows you to build mainline platforms underground from this post: http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=6482.msg154666#msg154666. I sent it to you via gmail.

I am afraid that I do not have the time to accommodate individual preferences in this way.

Fam, there is a way to get that pak:

Download Rollmaterials BritStation-Ex.pak with all the combined paks.
Download a makeobj (this is from my devel-new-builds, as I cannot find any nightly windows one): http://server.exp.simutrans.com/Devel-new-builds/Makeobj-Extended_170215_78519e1.exe
Put the makeobj and the BritStation-Ex.pak in the same folder and then create a new text document (.txt), open it and copy the exact following text into it:

Code: [Select]
makeobj-extended_170215_78519e1 EXTRACT BritStation-Ex
Save it and rename the file so it ends with .bat instead of .txt. The icon of the file will change too.

Now doubble click your newly saved .bat file (which is called a batch file, btw), and it should pull all the individual pak files out from the big one.

And please, dont give bad smileys like that in the forum! It is after all thanks to James that you can play Simutrans Extended at all :)

Fam, I feel like we have been here before: You have a problem with something and only state that it doesnt work. It is like if you are calling a car mechanic guy to ask why your car is not driving, a question he could impossible answer.
I took time to figure out how to do it (I did not know on beforehand) and wrote it down in a step by step guide for you to follow.
If it doesnt work on first attempt, read the instructions again and try it again in case you missed a step somewhere, if it still doesnt work, try a third time. If it still doesnt work, or if you dont understand one of the instructions, then reply back in the thread describing what you have done and at what step you are stuck, like "I did this, this and this but the .bat file still doesnt run when I click on it" or "what do you mean with renaming from .txt to .dat?" etc. Then I (or someone else) can reply, building on the initial knowledge and other people reading this thread with the same problems like you maybe also can use the solutions that is coming up (speaking of, maybe these posts should be moved to a new thread, cleaning the nightly builds announcement?). Or it might turn out that I wrote a mistake in my step by step guide to you which can then be corrected.

But until then, I cant do much more to help you :)

Ves, I have followed all the steps and it opens and closes in under a second.

I have split this from the topic about nightly development builds as this is really a separate topic in its own right.

Ok, now you give me something to work with! :-)
Some control questions:
Are all  three files in the same folder (the .pak file, the .bat file and the makeobj.......exe)?
Are you clicking the .bat file, not the makeobj (which have the extension .exe)?
Is the file name of the .pak file you want to extract the same as specified in the last part of the .bat file (right click and choose "edit" to open the .bat file for editing)?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. You have to explain what you have done and what you are struggling with, how should I help you otherwise? :)

Ok, and you put all three of them in the same folder I asume?
Did you rename the makeobj?
In case you did not rename it or the pak file, try the following:
Edit the .bat file (right click -> edit) and replace the text with this exact text:
Code: [Select]
makeobj-extended_170215_78519e1 EXTRACT BritStation-Ex.pak(Difference: added .pak to the file name)
