because Pak64 offer only "combino trams" offering tram only for two fields long platform. Of course I can rebuild whole network to double length platforms but... is seem strange.
Why? Stop have radius of two fields. When I rebuild stop to double length platform, platform radius be the same as platform length!

In previous version, "combino" tram even was two platform length and pass on one length take pax and nothing goes wrong. Today - Tram ride, transfer pax, but spamming me messages "platform too short". This thing unable to play and use "combino trams". Other trams (Duwag) are too expensive to use it for citycenter trams.

I have moved this to the Pak.64 board, as this issue seems specific to Pak.64, but not specific to Simutrans-Experimental.
Download Simutrans-Extended.

So? My main problem with two tile stops is that some blocks are only one tile long. Apart from that, my stops have usually been two tiles long long before that, with one tile for bus/tram stop and one tile for mail stop. (As long as they are next to each other, the mail stop can be used by passengers as well.)

Using combinos on single tile stops have never really worked. Passengers in cars beyond the first tile would not be able to depart on single tile stops, and hence would just keep riding forever. The new message "platform too short" (at least I've never seen it before) was likely introduced to bring attention to this.

That's one of many problems pak64 has beyond 2000. By 2030, almost everything has fallen apart in terms of profitability in my experience. (I think ships and airplanes are untouched, as they have stopped evolving long before that.)

Could this be mitigated by reducing the highest speedbonus factors for the years past 2000?

road=1911,21,1928,50,2001,82,2032,85
track=1835,10,1870,60,1900,65,1920,80,1970,100,2007,140,2020,180,2028,231
water=1862,26,1940,38,1980,40
air=1912,80,1950,300,1975,930
monorail_track=1964,160,2050,268
tram_track=1910,25,1930,44,1960,50,1975,80

Lowering the speed for the last entry might help.  Lower road for 2001 and 2032 down to 60-70, track for 2028 to 200, etc.  Worth a shot.  Planes and ships are probably still profitable because the speedbonus plateaus earlier.
