I have been playing Pak128 v100 for a couple of months now and would like to try and create my own city buildings. Can anyone contribute items to the forum?
How do I get started and does it require a large computer programing skill? PS. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I am still trying to find my way around the forum.

Sorry, this is going to be real short (maybe I'll write more later):

City buildings are potentially among the easiest things to create for simutrans - and no programming skills at all are needed. All Simutrans objects consist of a graphic (in .png format) and a .dat file (which is plain text and contains just a few (for some objects more, but city buildings are really simple on that) paramters and values. So all you'll need is graphics program that you can handle enough to draw the building and a text editor (like windows' notepad, for example).

Then you need a program called "makeobj" (available here on the forum) that creates a .pak file from your two source files. That's it.
