I am studying free open source, and I found this is a great game.
I really want do something for this great work.
First I can translate into traditional chinese and simplied chinese,
also I can do something on document orginzation.
I am not sure what can i do now.
Can anyone do me a favor give me some suggestion how to start.
Can i get the mailist for this great work?

Hello - welcome to the forums! It is always excellent to have people to help with translations.
Translation is done in Simutrans using a web interface called Simutranslator (http://simutranslator.simutrans-germany.com/). You will need to register an account there: instructions are provided on the login page.
As for the organisation of documentation, I suspect that others might be able to help you more than I, although I have no doubt that up to date Chinese translations of help/text files would be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your suggestion before, I have already registered in the simutrans tanslator for two weeks.
However, when I do the translation in chinese, I found I can not change the font size for the title.
I am not sure how to set it.

It is not possible/implemented to change font-size of texts in simutrans.
In principle it scales with the fonts size since a few revisions, but only working are 10-12 pt size range.
Full freetype support (including larger fonts and buttons) may come in some future. However, this requires that all dialoges are scalable, which is currently only true for few of them.

Ah, you mean more bold. The BDF font can be customized. There are startchar commands inside the wen....bdf font. The number 33 to 126 needs to be replaced with the content from the english (latin1) bdf font in the same folder. I think I should do this and rename the font a little to reflect this.
However,how can i use startchar commands now?

The wenquanyi_9pt.bdf contains lots of commands for each letter like:
STARTCHAR exclam
ENCODING 33
SWIDTH 500 0
DWIDTH 6 0

You have to replace the commands from 33 to 126 by the ones form latin1.bdf.
