Here we discussed about downgrading some existing Pak128 buildings.

Is it possible to script SimuTranslator so that texts linked to the previous string (to be deleted) get linked to the new string without manual copy-paste?

VS

To answer the question you wrote: No.

But I have a script that takes a file in compat.tab format + translation folder and turns that into a new translation folder for import. (Translation import is an append operation in STL.) This is economical only after large changes, since you have to import one file/language at a time.

Thus, the answer to your real question is a cautious yes ;)

edit: Oops, that wasn't for me to answer! Anyway, I asked about this already once, and the result was my script.

My projects... Tools for messing with Simutrans graphics. Graphic archive - templates and some other stuff for painters. Development logs for most recent information on what is going on. And of course pak128!

It should be possible to rename objects, translations are kept iirc.

HUGE praise to whoever did this - as James would say, "most helpful indeed!"

So I guess I can start downgrading industrial buildings to level 30 ;)
Thanks for the feature!
