Actually, simutrans is already part the Debian, and it may be part of the next release. The Debian community also made nice patches to allow AMD64, MIPS and PowerPC run not only simutrans but makeobj too. (One of the best results so far from gaoing open source.)

That is good news, perhaps I should switch to Debian on my desktop.
