This is only partly Simutrans-related topic.

I would like to ask for link to any pages where is described where are position lights on ships. I was not successful in searching for it. And I need it before finishing currently created ships for pak96.comic. It would be really good if those ships would be lighted as they should be.

Ters

By position lights, is it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nautical_light you mean? If so, there appears to be no rules for where those lights are, just from which angles they should be visible. If you're trying to reproduce a particular ship, you'd have to find detailed photos or drawings.

This is a little problem. As I read somewhere, rules for position lights is various by size and type of ship.

And ship I create is tanker. And from it some other ships will be derived. And to find night photo of tanker (almost any ship) with lighted only position lights, it is like searching of needle in haystack.

In this case, there might not be a needle in the haystack. There are many wrong places to put lights, but no single right place. I'm still not sure what you mean by position lights. You seem to be thinking only a few of the lights a ship must have, since you want photos with the other lights off (which they are not allowed to be).

Yes.
