Low priority.. but worth discussing a bit.

In multiplayer, if a user selects a player, they can chat as that player ... without putting the player password in.  As a result, anyone can send a message posing as another player.

Chat from company should use default player (slot 1) unless the password has been verified as another player.

This should not be possible. If a user has not unlocked the activated company and sends a chat message, the message will be shown in white in the chat window to indicate that this player has no unlocked company.

I think anyone who connects to a server should be able to use basic functions as spectator, such as nickname, chat, panning, inspection tool, map and other things to get you started. If the spectator wants to join the game, he picks the companies and sets up the passwords.
