Lenght parameter when using trams.

I try to look my trams (small loc+3 cars) as neat as possible.
However, the length-parameter seems to have no effect. Result: gap between cars of half the lenght of the cars.
Should the lenth-feature work for tramcars??
If yes, is there a relation betweem length of the cars and the lenght-parameter?

The spelling error in the code has been corrected - you need to spell it "length".
