Hi! I have a problem, I downloaded version of 100, found the Russian language, but the map is written the name of the cities is unclear. I think the problem is that the game is not the Russian font. Can I solve this problem?

1.) You should try 101.0 instead of 100.0 (there were various bugs in 100.0)

2.) Do you run Simutrans on Windows or Linux (or ?)? If Windows, make sure you use GDI version, not SDL for languages that require different characters (like Russian, for example).

Thank you for your reply.
Installed version of 101, the problem is not solved. Using Windows GDI. But for me, in principle, no matter what language the names of cities. Now I create a map of the English names of cities, and then switched into Russian, the name does not change, remain in English, and the rest in Russian.

You mean, there are still unreadable letters?

That is not a bug, but intended.

Yes, names of already existing cities do not change when you switch languages (and that's, as whoami said, intended behaviour.) You can however rename them manually, if you wish.

Will be changed for network games, i.e. the initial name's language will be kept.

At me the same problem with Russian names of cities. And I too have created a map in English, and was then switched to the Russian interface.

Maybe the citylist_ru.txt files is completely broken by now. It should be in in UTF-8 to be usable with the game.
