An entry from today's dwarf-fortress change log shows attention to detail:

Stopped cats from dying of alcohol poisoning after walking over damp tavern floors and cleaning themselves (reduced effect)

Minecraft is quite the opposite. Some recently added fixes (with some rephrasing) to show how broken the game has been in past 5 years:

  • Animals visually sinking through solid floor.
  • Shot arrows first bounce back from animals then appear at correct location.
  • Boat inflicts fall damage [and sometimes kills players] if it runs aground in some fashion (slabs, animals, etc).
  • While riding a pig, horse or minecart and using F5-key, the hand of your character is misplaced. [In a similar old bug, the player head shook absurdly]
  • Animals spawning inside leaves.
  • Dropped items 'walking' randomly on floor / Paintings and item frames fly when broken.
  • Fireworks pushed by water / fired horizontally out of loaded chunks cause client to hang.
  • Epilepsy trigger from collecting a lot of experience points.
  • Boats still break on hitting water lilies.
  • Puppies' heads are not centered on their bodies. [Isn't this a horror movie?]
  • Fishing water particles show on land. [ ??? ]
  • It's raining so often since 1.7.2 [this bug has been in the game since 30/Oct/13]
  • Rain texture is upside-down.
  • Baby zombies named "Dinnerbone" [game dev] appear suspended in the air. [CALL THE PRIEST!!!]

I've found much fun with Minecraft playing Forge / Feed The Beast modsets. Most of those are stuck in 1.7.10, but it's worth it for the amazing new worlds. :)

Also "/weather clear 9999" helps a bit with rain :)
