First Hydrogen Locomotive under development

I was browsing meneame, the dig clone in spanish, when I found this interesting announcement from BNSF about the development of a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Switch Locomotive. They'll use an EMD GP-9, a Class 1 locomotive that actually consumes a lot of gas, for tests but the technology is still under development

As seems we'll have to create something similar for Simutrans, now the question is...would be possible?
