Straight motion and this sort of curve,

Test have shown I need to add some more options for the initial direction of the particles. I'll post examples once I have that done. Also attaching a particle generator to a factory building has turned out more complicated than expected. I'll need some more time for that too.

Now with extra sparkles! And attached to a factory. But map rotation screws it. I'll have to fix that before a release ... also need to make the particle size configurable, it's hard coded at the moment.

Clouds make some pretty fat particles. Some day I'll try to animate the shower in the rainmaker too.

Hajo, i hope you're still inclined to keep working on the OpenGL in Simutrans. Gotta remind you, Simutrans (especially Extended) is amongst the most mechanically advanced transport tycoon games out there, as far as i am aware. It's just it looks old and plays kinda old for modern times, and your OpenGL refreshment might bring perhaps dozens, if not hundreds of new players to community

I can't tell if you realize that Hajo is the original creator of Simutrans or not. lol.

But I do agree that I think having OpenGL in Simutrans might garner more interest in the project. :)

Hajo, having exchanged messages with Ranran recently, he seemed very interested regarding your OpenGL project, and somewhat sad regarding you shifting development time towards other projects. No pressure, but believe that once you continue working on OGL in Simutrans, Ranran will be interested in trying to implement your developments in Extended, seriously spicing up the development of both Standard and Extended
