Thank you. Google translate is unfortunately not great for translation into Japanese (as any online translator.) SO those would need proper proof-reading.

At the university they prefer deepl.com. When I checked, for simple sentences, I found google slightly better for the kinds of text I need; but it depends on the text.

(However, Japanese to English is even worse.)

But any translator still produced nicer sentences than I could do with my small vocabulary ...

If someone would like to copy/paste some sample text... I have a ChatGPT subscription and I can see what sort of a job it does. If it does a better job that some other tools, I'd be glad to get some translations from there.

If nobody thinks this is worth trying, no worries. Just occurred to me that I could offer this in case it helped.

There is a problem with the "en.tab" file generated by the "text_import.sh" script, the resulting file does not contain all SimuTranlator translations.

Currently there should be 191 texts and 90 text files.

And as far as I know, the translator does not export texts where the object name is the same as the translation.

I suspect this is the problem, keep updating that file manually. edit ( Now that I think about it, this is not a problem since simutrans should directly take the object texts since they are the same. )

I also sent some translations to for the text files, but the script did not download the updates, so I no longer trust it, I will proceed to make all the changes manually.

It would be good if the German texts were tested for errors before being transferred.

192 texts and 90 text files have currently been translated. I am not sure whether any of the texts are outdated. However, at least one warning message is missing.

The texts can be changed directly here.

The zip also contains the current scenario files.

The original text file has comments to identify where the texts go, maybe it will be useful to you to find the missing text.
