Stay at surface, when hopping to any halt

When right-clicking on the name of any halt, that appears in a list e.g., the map-view gets centered on the halt's location. This is sooo helpful!
But when a halt has multiple levels, of which one is in the ground, the view might sometimes leave the surface-view and switch in to sliced-view-mode.

Since this behavior may often be annoying, my request would be, to refine this "view-hopping-action".

  • What I'd like to propose is, that when using right-click on a station's name/link, to not leave above-ground-view.
Assuming of course, the corresponding halt does have above-ground structure(s).
(Same should apply when simply clicking on the picture within the station's info window.)

  • Am I the only one, finding this sudden underground "dive" odd?
  • Has anybody other thought's on how this behavior could be improved?

Further, if one's currently in underground view, it would be nice if it would not to leave this mode neither and to stay in sliced-view likewise, if that is the current view.
Maybe if the selected station happens to have a structure on that same level, as currently viewing, to preferrably stay on that level of course.
But I imagine the underground-view stuff can get unnecessarily complicated to implement for only a small e benefit, so drop it, if that's the case.

Apart from the halt list, the click should center on the actual stop tile. If this is underground, switching to underground mdoe makes quite some sense.

Sure. But would it be possible to keep the view in standard mode always, when possible, and not to randomly switch to sliced-view mode?

Or did I misunderstand you?

If a stop is underground for that convoi, switching to underground mode makes sense. If is is a generic stop with the first tile underground and which has overground tiles, it does not make sense. If it is an underground only stop, not switching does not make sense. Tha is the reasoning.

The only part not implemented is the first tile underground logic for stops. But that had been added in r11695

Thank you for explaining to me  :)
