Heyo,

in the latest patchnotes I've been pleased to find that diagonal images for signals and roadsigns are a thing now.
Sadly, I could not find any kind of documentation on this topic.
The wiki still states the old 4 directional system, and the latest pak64 does not include them either.

So how do these work?
And is there any kind of documentation I am missing?

So far there is only the Autobahn sign made from makie for pak128. However, in the horizontal diagonal, you only see it more the side, so just a plate. One would need to think more about how to present it.

Second index is for left side driving.
There are Image and FrontImage [nsew][0(=right side driving)|1(=left side driving)]
and now also Diagonal and FrontDiagonal [0-7][0(=right side driving)|1(=left side driving)]
Maybe the latter should also go with directions.

Signals are not fully tested. Private way signs do not work as intended, and traffic signals are only intended for crossings, so no diagonals there. Old definitions still work, as usual.

Maybe one really needs another level on indices for all the animations. Further feedback and extension requests are welcome.

These are individual graphics. Don't underestimate the players; even if the meaning of a traffic sign isn't immediately obvious, players like my son figure it out quickly. Furthermore, it's clear that it's a traffic sign, and you can click on it to get an explanation.

Perhaps more important would be a change to the program so that an explanation is provided for road traffic signs, just as is already possible for railway signals. That doesn't work with traffic signs. They all very simple only named "Road Sign".
