Release of Pak128.Britain 1.01 (bugfixes)

A new version of Pak128.Britain has been released: download it us (site down, do not visit) ]/pak128Britain/pak128Britain_1_0_1_102.zip]here. This release contains a number of fixes for bugs identified in the original release, 1.0. Anyone who has downloaded version 1.0 is strongly recommended to upgrade to version 1.01. A list of the changes follows:

Changes

• FIX: Townhalls not appearing
• FIX: Buses missing
• FIX: bridges and some stops missing with timeline on
• FIX: ground.outside.pak needs to be separate
• ADD: Swedish translation (Thanks to sanna)
• ADD: German translation (partial - from Simutranslator)
• CHANGE: goods prices not fully updated
• CHANGE: speedbonus not updated

Feedback and testing

Thank you to all those who spotted bugs in the previous version of Pak128.Britain. Any further feedback would be very much appreciated, including (but not just) bug reports, impressions and/or analysis as to how well-balanced that the set is, and screenshots of your British themed transport empires.

This is still a beta version, and lacks: (1) non-passenger road vehicles; (2) boats; and (3) aircraft. The set is designed to be playable from 1750, although, because of the absence of boats, starting before 1830 (the dawn of the railway age) is not currently recommended. Because of the absence of non-passenger road vehicles, players are recommended to stick to passenger and bulk freight networks for the present.

Contributing to Pak128.Britain

Whereas most paksets have large numbers of contributors, Pak128.Britain is mostly the work of two people (Kieron Green and James Hood). Anyone wanting to contribute to Pak128.Britain, whether by testing, creating graphics, or researching and balancing, would be very welcome to do so. See this thread for further information.

I get the following error upon startup: (using Pak128.Britain 1.01 and Simutrans 1.02.0):

fatal error: hausbauer_t::register_Besch()building Bookshop1950 duplicated PRESS ANY KEY

and then Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library reports:

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way...

thank you for your report :-) Sorry that you're having trouble. Have you installed it over your existing Pak128.Britain 1.0 release, or installed it afresh? Also, can you try using the latest nightly build of Simutrans to see whether that makes a difference? Thank you again for your feedback :-)

Have you installed it over your existing Pak128.Britain 1.0 release, or installed it afresh?

New install afresh.

Also, can you try using the latest nightly build of Simutrans to see whether that makes a difference?

Can certainly try that although Frank's comment above suggest the problem has been identified (?).

EDIT- and you're welcome. I rather like this pak, so am quite happy to test/prod it and offer (hopefully useful) criticism as necessary.

you are correct that Frank has already found the problem. Version 1.02 in the process of being uploaded...
