I try again

Wow, it is higher on the download but not upload.

No wonder, uploading takes a longer time for me!

Only 10meg from an ADSL/Telecoms company (google :) )?

Combuijs, you'll probably live in Son & Breughel, connected by KPN Glasvezel, bronze triple play for 65 Euro/month? I can't see any ADSL2+ connection offering you this speed.

Here's mine, I got VDSL2 but watching HDTV (IPTV) right now, they sold it as a 12mbit line, which only reaches that speed with not watching TV.

Little bit faster than I normally see... 250GB/mo cap, which is not bad for the US. $55/mo, and that's only because I also have cable. It'd be $75/mo otherwise.

The US lags behind many places, which is frustrating.

::'( wish I had any where near that speed.
Bell optic network? only in Ontario ::'(
Once got up to 7 Mb/s
Fiber connection to Cogent.  That's for internet only, we have a few links via other providers for research with other universities.

What kind of plan do you have with Telus?  I see on their website that "High Speed" is between 1.5 to 6.0Mbps.  If you are not getting the maximum, either something is weird with your wiring, or Telus is not doing a very good job.

actually I have the top of what i can get from around here. they say we top out at about 3.0 here. Small cities have their advantages, internet speed is not one of them.

Though, we could get up to 1 Gb/s for thousands of dollars in AB with the Super Net.

just to put the effect distance has into the equation (as a very large majority of websites are hosted in the USA) here is a ping to California in the USA (I'm in sydney Australia)

My school is better yet 8)

But given the close numbers, I guess our sides are not the limiting ones in this test ;)

My projects... Tools for messing with Simutrans graphics. Graphic archive - templates and some other stuff for painters. Development logs for most recent information on what is going on. And of course pak128!
