[New release] Simutrans-Experimental 6.8
« on: September 14, 2009, 10:01:19 PM »
A new version of Simutrans-Experimental is available to-day: 6.8. See here for more information on how to download, install and set up the latest version. For those already familiar with the installation and setup, here are some quick links:

Version 6.8 contains various bug fixes, as well as all the latest fixes from the latest nightly release of Simutrans-Standard (of which there are quite a few this week). A full list of changes follows.

Changes (Simutrans-Experimental)
  • CHANGE: Inverse/normal graphs now only have one, universal setting, rather than separate settings for financial and other graphs (synchronising this feature with Simutrans-Standard)
  • FIX: Incorrect figures were displayed for the credit limit in the player finances window
  • FIX: Crash when using passenger AI

Changes (Imported from Simutrans-Standard)
  • FIX: recalculate vehicle-weight after noload-order
  • FIX: trains sometimes took a tile more
  • FIX: crowded stop message
  • FIX: aktuell position for convois that should be withdrawn; some debug messages
  • FIX: automatically enlarge buffer in halt-info window
  • FIX: add linebreak in debug output
  • CHG: check 3d-coordinates for tunnel building

Feedback and testing

Thanks to all those who have tested Simutrans-Experimental and provided useful feedback: bugs in the last version would not have been found were it not for the helpful input of testers. Any further feedback from this version would be very much appreciated, including (1) bug reports; (2) information as to how well-balanced that the game is; (3) any difference in approach/strategy needed for Simutrans-Experimental as over Simutrans-Standard; and (4) any other useful feedback.

Happy playing!
