Hello,

This is a request. I have some industries that are located near the map's boundaries next to some water bodies. These water bodies are connected to each other by the sea that surround the map. My request is to enable use of this sea by the water vessels to connect between these water bodies.

Regards,
Venkat

I guess the sea that surrounds the map isn't navigable... Actually I think it's not sea at all, but non-map tiles that are painted with same graphic than sea tiles, just for aesthetic reasons. Anyway, as long as it's shown as sea, I don't know wheter it should be a 'real' sea...

I would like it better painted as a black tile, or like something plainly "disabled".
e.g. I like very much the way it is in pak96.comic

I could see some problems when a ship is caught on land while expanding the map.

Yes, I agree. It could be better to look like an explicit disabled tile. But there was a discussion about that last week in the chat room, and it's hard to find a design wich looks at least (near) as well as the sea pattern.

Well seen AEO. I hadn't thought of that! ;)

That's the one with the faded brown dirt-like tiles? Yes, I like that as well - it's very clearly "out of bounds".

The main problem with ships there is, that there IS nothing to store a ship. Furthermore way search on an infite map take infinite long ...

Well, if this was truly desireable, perhaps a single tile surrounding the map would work - that seems like it wouldn't be infinite anymore... BUT, I strongly disagree with this request, personally.

I'd like more map edges that need not be at water level... Talk about conflicting ideas :)
