Hello,

I installed Simutrans via the sofware channel in Ubuntu.

When I start Simutrans I can make a choiche between pak.Britain and pak (64)

I downloaded the normal pak128 and like to use it.
I copied the pak128 and pasted into the same map as the pak128.Britain.

But this doesn't work.

Wat to do?

Thanks in advance, Flip

You're telling you copied the files of pak128 into pak128.Britain?

If so, I'm not sure but yoshi already talked about it with pak.japan & pak128.
Some files work when in another pak, but some may conflict, you need to find what files can be copied.
I think the goods are the principal problem.

Hello,

My problem is solved.

I copied the pak128 into the same map as pak128.Britain,as i wrote before:  /usr/share/games/simutrans.

The rights for the pak128 map were originally: map access, none.

I changed it to                                                   : map access, everyone.

now it works well.

Sorry for the inconvenience, Flip

An dz, there might have been confusion, map is dutch for folder (e.g. directory) i think. English map would be kaart, but has likely the same etymology and becomes a false friend.

Hi,

When I wrote map, I mean directory indeed.

My solution now is:

I uninstalled Simutrans, from Ubuntu.
I download the nighty buid, and also all the paks.
I unpack them into the Home/simutrans-nightly directory of Ubuntu.
Now I can click on the sim-linux64 file, and everything works fine.
Every day I download the new nightly build and copy the files into the Home/simutrans-nightly directory, overwriting the old files.
And if there are new Paks, I also unpack them into the Home/simutrans-nightly directory.

It works very well this way.

with regards, Flip
