More questions about DAT files. ;D

I want to know:

What max_weight parameter do?
What pillar_asymmetric parameter do?
I found max_height need to be between 1 to 7 what's the difference between them?

Sorry, but I can't test here. ;)

pillar_asymmetric is used when your pillars are not at the center of the tile. When the pillar isn't at the center, it causes one extra pillar to appear on the bridge, which can look strange, depending on terrain. It will remove one pillar from the graphics.

max_weight is only applicable in experimental, where there are weight limits.

I'm guessing max_height is how deep of a gorge or valley you can span.

I'll try testing it when I get time.

I guessed it too, but height can be up to 24 so why between 1 and 7?

OK, but what it do? It's the max weight a vehicle can have to the bridge handle it?

Thanks for the answers.

prissi

with heights>7 the pillars are not drawn correctly for paksizes>64.

max difference in height between the deck and the pillars. Not related to the maximum and minimum heights allowed with the map. The bridge can be only X tiles high.

yep, that's exactly it. A bridge with max_weight 40t will only allow vehicle + payload weight under 40t to pass.
