I think it would be nice to have an extension to "copy convoy" button, where you can specify the amount of times a convoy is copied and also a "start all" button to start all convoys with a line in that depot at once. "Start all" would only work with ships and trucks, but it's mainly the buses that are giving me trouble with the sheer amount required.

I'm at 3100 buses right now, with a projected 10000 more to be added. Approximately 40 to 60 buses per line.

I think I'm going to get RSI from the amount of convoys that I have to create in a lot of the lines I have.

You should rather use high capacity buses then ... Or, like in real life, a tram or train line.

I have to make a lot of convoys, not due to capacity issues, but due to spacing issues.
In experimental, it's not good to have passenger vehicles bunch up, and they automatically bunch up eventually, no matter how much the user spaces them apart with signals. If the player fills up the line to near saturation point, then there's no issue with uneven spacing.
