Linked scenarios

When I play I tend to set myself objectives.  One objective leads to another gradually building up the network or game in a predetermined way.


There are few scenarios in Simutran's and they tend to be quickly achieved small affairs. 


Is it possible to have multiple objectives in a scenario? Not all objectives achieved at the same time and then ending, but achieving one objective, which leads to another and so on.


Scenarios could be created with more depth. A set of linked objectives and greater sense of achievement when completed.

Please develop such a scenario! I mean, describe the goals in written form, here in the forum.

There is currently no mean to do what you want with the current implementation. I am working (slowly) on implementing some scripting possibility for scenarios. That's why I asked for some of the old savegames. A development snapshot can be found at my public github repository (for those who like to compile it themselves: github.com -> Dwachs ->simutrans ->scripted). The implementation is working in the sense that for instance the ruleset of the tram-madness scenario is almost completely covered.

Sorry for the delay responding.

Example for a beginner scenario:
1. Transport coal to the Steel Mill. once done,
2. Transport iron ore to the steel mill, once done,
3 Transport Steel to the Car factory....etc...car dealership
End.

That simple one could be achieved now with a single objective of transport cars to dealership. 

I dont think that's where the potential lies.  How about this type of design though.


1, Have a material wholesaler sell 3000 goods per month. (player has to set up multiple chains to supply wholesaler)
2, Sell sheep from a farm to food factory (sounds easy but map layout makes this a tough build)
3, Create steel (players sees that what comes next will be a very big tunnel/complex build)
4 Sell steel to distant wholesaler
5 Connect distant sawmills to wholesaler and sell planks.
6 Have wholesaler sell 5000 goods per month
End

For each scenario have a time limit. Award gold, silver, bronze achievement awards depending upon speed.

(Public service is not allowed)
