Two questions :

How do I add add-ons ?

And how do I get them ? By the respective forum threads here most probably ? Because this ... "database", a link I found on the simutrans homepage, does not seem to be quite up to date. Or I am using it wrongly ?

That "database" is updated from time to time, not very often though.
The best way to get the most updated addons is by navigating through the forum, and downloading them from their proper links.

- japan addons here : http://japanese.simutrans.com/ (partial english translation)
- official addons here :http://addons.simutrans.com/ (all pak versions)- this up to date (I tried this morning)
- Czechian addons here : http://simutrans.czechian.net/en_index.htm (english translation)
and what else... ?

how to install :
just unzip the file (file.zip) and put the file.pak  directly in pak128 repository; then run simutrans

I was asking about the official addon database because I didn't find the zoo there, for example. But I may be confusing what "official addon" means. That's cool though. I can browse the forums.

Unfortunately, some of them have not been released (e.g. the zoo, IIRC)
