Hello guys !

Is it the case that choose signals allow a train to go to the track which is covered by the waypoint in the train's schedule ? So they only choose a different track if that "preselected" track is taken ? Cause that it what the behaviour currently appears me to be.

And if it is so, is that a behaviour which may merrit revision ?

When looking for a free platform, it must start somewhere. Isn't it natural that it starts with the platform designated in the schedule?

Well, yeah. Indeed, it is. When posting yesterday, I did see the logic in that approach. I was not sure whether that yields the desired behaviour. Particularly in combination with "go-through" stations where you may or may not want to have the set of tracks shared by both directions. I am still not sure; and do not want to utter any preference yet. This shout-out is to get acquainted with their behaviour.

And one more thought : when the train does not want to stop at the station, the choose signal does not appear to be influencing the trains path-finding ?!

My tip, though I'm sure other players have other solutions: Only use choose signals at stations, or isolated groups of platforms, served by a single line that typically waits for a full load there. Alternatively, there must be enough platforms for all convoys stopping at the station. In either case, no convoys passing without stopping. I hardly use choose signals at all.
