Title: Starting a re-load game in PAUSE mode.
Post by: HarrierST on October 06, 2017, 12:07:03 AM
I often want  a game I have previously played and reloaded to be in  automatic pause mode while I consider what to do next. So I can consider  previous decisions.

Is this possible?

If not, it should be as any player loses time while trying to remember what to do next and forgetting that the clock is ticking.

At the moment, it seems you have to wait for the game to load then remember to click the Pause button immediately.

Hope the phone does not ring to distract you.  :)

The pause functionality in Extended is the same as it is in Standard, and the paused state is not saved with the saved game. It is relatively easy just to press "P" after loading the saved game once you get used to the idea that a loaded game will never be paused.

Indeed, I suspect that the opposite situation - saving the pause state with the saved game - would be equally confusing for players who may forget that the game was paused when it was saved.
