I spent some time with this, and it was very helpful, though I didn't have the patience to see it to the end.

Same here about the patience...I played with it a few years ago but at the time I didn't have any real use for it and that made it even more difficult.  For me, it was anything but intuitive but maybe that's because I had a working knowledge of traditional paint packages.

Now, if I could stand not playing for awhile, I would try getting into doing some of this stuff again.  It is just I keep hearing the Simus calling...
