Title: Pak64.HU-PL
Post by: Emil Sawicki on May 03, 2012, 02:38:06 AM
Why not? Pak64.HU-PL would be larger and much better thanks to old, good Polish-Hungarian friendship :) Let's begin. Moderators, please create a new child board "Pak64.HU-PL" in the "Other paksets section" containing this topic and following threads: http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=6208.0 (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=6208.0) , http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=7253.0 (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=7253.0) and http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=9836.0 (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=9836.0) .

Suleyman, I have a request. Could you merge all Ikarus buses in one .pak file? Just put text from all buses' .dat files in one, common .dat. Then start makeobj, select new .dat file and put name for merged file: "Ikarus", so we have just one Ikarus.pak instead of Ikarus260.pak, Ikarus280.pak...

Of course, the pakset won't be complete without the buildings, factories and attractions.

Suleyman, have you seen my M62 loco model? You can also download its surce files, so you can see, how I merged both locos' .dat and the .png files.
(http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=6208.0;attach=15175;image)

And thanks for language explanation. Of course, you used "witaj" properly.

New board created, but with a request:
Please, release at least an addon/replacement set of all the vehicles painted this far, for players to download (and at the moment put it in their Pak64 board). You could also create a full pakset including all or a selection of Regular Pak64 buildings and objects. Boards usually go with (at least partly) playable paksets...
Thanks and good luck with your project!

Witaj Emil!

Ok I will merge all Ikarus, but i will rework these buses to more realistic. And I will make some old Ikarus.
I will make buses, in polish bus colors, and hungarian like BKV(Budapest city bus) and Pécs city bus, and simple player color, ok?
And I will make some coach buses. Ikarus 250, etc...
I have been making addons just few mounts ago, and I need your help and advice in some simutrans things.
What do you think about the future vehicles, Future Ikarus, Jelcz etc???
Should be new vehicles in Poland-Hungary game after 2020 or 2040 so???? The pak should be bigger and better.
And how to make in vehicles png in nightlights???
Do you send me some picture from poland(HU-PL) pak? skin, buildings, etc. (just how to looks like) to this e-mail adress:suleymancorba@gmail.com.
Anyway I downloaded your loco and I used this. This is szergej loco? It's perfect work.
I will create some hungarian locos than NOHAB and MÁV cargoes, but I need some sample DAT file how to make wagon(cargo) for passengers, and I need a sample DAT file for camion to RÁBA camion.

Üdv! I can help you to draw and code, just send me your source files on emil.sawicki[at-jel]gazeta.pl . I'll correct them and send back to you. There is still some work with Ikarus 280 and 417 articulation and alignment. Night vehicles versions don't need special drawings, just use reserved colours (http://graphics.simutrans.com/albums/userpics/10003/simucolors.png), that lights in the night.

Only magyar loco I made is szergej. It contains reserved colours in windows and reflectors. These colours are used also in my other  vehicles. All source files are uploaded here: click (http://simutrans-germany.com/files/upload/pak64.PL_source.zip), all addons are there: click (http://simutrans-germany.com/files/upload/pak64.PL.zip).

I think we don't need future vehicles yet. There's too much work to make the pakset playable in 1945-2000 years. It doesn't means we don't need them at all.

There's a guide, how to write .dat files for vehicles, buildings etc.: http://simutrans-germany.com/wiki/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=en_dat_Files

Below you can see UV1 tram. Do you like it? It will be ready today or tomorrow.

Witaj!
Yes I see whats the problem with Ikarus 280 I try to repair it, and I will test it. Anyway UV tram is very nice, this tram from Budapest???
It looks like a BKV tram.
Thanks to your help. I will send some source files if I will not repair these files.
I have some idea for industries, and factories than Ikarus factory, Polski Fiat factory, food factory???? Do you kike it? (Of course before vehicles, and buildings)
Title: Re: Pak64.HU-PL

Yes, pakset needs factories, so we should create first industry chain. Buildings needed:
-oil pump;
(http://www.redbor.pl/wyprawy/lokalizacje/grafiki/boryslaw_05a.jpg)
-refinery (produces plastic from oil);
(http://bi.gazeta.pl/im/1/9330/z9330761Q,Nowe-instalacje-rafinerii-gdanskiej-.jpg)
-coal mine;
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3f/Kopalnia_Mys%C5%82owice.jpg)
-iron ore mine;
(http://fotopolska.eu/foto/208/208955.jpg)
-steel mill (produces steel from coal and ore);
(http://www.viktormacha.com/photos/full/2793.jpg)
-car plant (produces cars from plastic and steel)
(http://magyarjarmu.hu/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/RABA1.jpg)
-car shop with lot.
Vehicles needed:
-Eaos (for coal and iron ore)
(http://www.mavvagon.hu/kep/eaos533.jpg)
-Oegllhssw (for cars)
(http://www.ttclub.pl/img/testy/towarowe/ogll/06l.jpg)
-Res (for steel)
(http://wagony.net/foto/Res1.jpg)
-Zaes (for oil)

-Ucs (for plastic)

So! I reworked Ikarus 280 more realistik parameters, speed, KW, passengers...etc!
Please look this bus, If this good, I will start buspainting, and merge Ikarus.paks.
And...
I have a question: I have an idea, to second Industry chain. What do you think about food industry Hungary and Poland big industry format.
So Animal farm(animals)---->meat factory(meat)----->food factory(from grain and meat)---->food------------>ABC and foodshops
farm(grain)--------------------------------------------------->food factory
????

Bus still needs some alignment work, see picture below. Just move forward the first section in N view, so bus interior isn't visible. Then realign the second section in same view.

@Suleyman: I already put photos here (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=9836.msg93200#msg93200).

I like your wagon! Could you write its symbol? E.g. this (http://wagony.net/index.php?url=Z1A) is Ademnu. I need it, because all wagons in Pak64.HU-PL have to own symbol. Pak name have to be "Ademnu_PKP.pak", "other_name_MÁV.pak".

Ok thanks the bus pictures, I know you alredy put to forum, just I couldn't found. I have some question to you: I will paint these buses(Ikarus280) polish colors and some hungarian colors, but just Ikarus 280 435 or other types are there in polish colors?than 415 etc?
And was there in poland older Ikarus types? Than 60, 180, 556 etc?
And last question what do you think my industry idea(food chain)?

The MÁV car almost done, (I look for the symbol)and I will make some other MÁV cars for (Oil, coal, etc)

There were/are different types of Ikarus in Poland: 60, 66, 254, 260, 280, 412, 415, 417, 556, 620. You can use any painting from my photos to any your bus.

Ikarus 260.04:
(http://phototrans.pl/images/photos/big/24/504782.jpg)
Ikarus 415.14A:
(http://phototrans.pl/images/photos/big/35/300967.jpg)

We've to create all industry chains, as in other paksets, so there's no better or worse chain.

And I have a question to you.
I saw the blue danube map there is in your projects.
Can you show me on a screenshot how to looks this map?
Title: Re: Pak64.HU-PL
Post by: Carl on May 30, 2012, 07:04:00 AM
Thanks for the HÉV -- it looks great! :) My only comment would be that the green is perhaps a little too bright, and going by the pictures of HÉV trains it should be a little duller and more turquoise-like.

The Blue Danube map is at an early stage -- I'm just putting the finishing touches to my New England scenario. Here's a shot of the heightmap in Gimp. I plan to add cities and road infrastructure -- probably in pak128.german to begin with, but perhaps also in pak64.hu-pl when that gets off the ground!

carlbaker: could you add more rivers to that map? I think Morava (on slovak-austrian border), Hron and Ipel (slovak-hungarian border), are big enough to be there, and maybe also some rivers in hungary. And those black dots - are those lakes, pods or what? I do not think there aro so many of them in reality... Anyway I look forward to this map and I hope that my birthplace Trnava will fit on the north edge ;)
Title: Re: Pak64.HU-PL
Post by: Carl on May 30, 2012, 08:37:37 AM
Hi Vladki! Thanks for your comments. As I said, it's still a work-in-progress, so more rivers will likely be added. Similarly for erroneous surface water, which will be removed. However, I've found whilst making this and other maps that there is typically more surface water than you think! There are little lakes, ponds and streams etc to be found almost everywhere.
Title: Re: Pak64.HU-PL
Post by: Vladki on May 30, 2012, 03:23:39 PM
Of course there is a lot of small lake, ponds, streames etc. The scale should be the rule - are they large enough to occupy at least one tile in this scale? Are they important for a simulation - model trains? Some of them could be replaced by appropriate groundobj or factory (fish pond).
Title: Re: Pak64.HU-PL
Post by: Carl on May 30, 2012, 03:40:08 PM
The map you see has been generated from a Digital Elevation Model, i.e. satellite heightmap data. The only thing I've added is emphasis to the rivers. So in theory, all the water you see should be large enough to occupy the space of one tile. However in practice,  the DEMs can add extra water in low-lying areas where there is in fact no water.
Title: Re: Pak64.HU-PL
Post by: Vladki on May 30, 2012, 07:01:43 PM
Yes I understand that one black pixel in heightmap means one tile of water, but my idea was that in your map one tile would be 400 m in reality, if I count correctly. Your map covers area cca 300 km wide. So it would be good to omit lakes that are smaller than 400m in diameter... Well that's not much, and as I look into on-line map, I see that there's really lot of small lakes I never thought of...
Let's see it might be an interesting challenge ;)

Hi Suleyman,

Those are really impressive! Good job! :)

I have only one constructive criticism -- the white on the MAV passenger carriage and the yellow on the GYSEV carriage (and perhaps the red on the M61) could probably do with being toned down a bit. One good way to do this would be to find a photo of such a carriage and use GIMP's eye-dropper tool to find approximately the right colour. I've found that to be useful.

I like the Talent design very much -- miles better than my smaller design!

On the colours: I think in general bright colours can look quite garish and unrealistic in Simutrans. I've attached what I had in mind as small changes -- the difference is subtle but, I think, it makes a lot of difference. I guess this is a matter of taste, but I think these colours fit in better. I've attached your original image too, for comparison.

A new loco for Simutrans: polish diesel SU45. It's called "Fiat" because of its motors were licensed by Fiat. SU45 were produced between 1970 and 1976. Power: 1250 kW, weight: 102 T,  top speed: 120 km/h. Fiats are used mostly for passenger trains, rarely for cargo.

Here comes a revenge... Ceaușescu's Revenge! It's romanian FAUR LDE1300, in Poland officially named as SP32, also known as "parrot" (because of yellow-green painting), "vacuum cleaner" (because of engine's sound) or "Ceaușescu's Revenge"(because of high unreliability of it's engine). It's weak diesel locomotive used to lead light passenger trains.

paint: Praha
speed: 50 km/h
power: 120 kW
max load: 78 passenger
Now we've got passenger trailer for Škoda 8Tr: it's Karosa B 40.

So you can finish the bridge. There's only need to draw ramps, icon and cursor. All elements are aligned already.
