Title: Simutrans is becoming a programmers honey pot..
Post by: vilvoh on June 14, 2010, 09:59:55 AM
I'm glad to see that we've some new code guys around the community. In general, Simutrans has more graphic artist and players than developers, which means that there're more demands and requests than technical resources to achieve them, so when I see new members directly dive into the code and create patches, help cleaning the code or whatever related with programming, I can only rejoice to check that after a long time, Simutrans is still an attractive project for programmers, and that there's still people interested on improving the game in technical aspects.

Welcome to the Simutrans community, new programmers! (http://www.greensmilies.com/smile/smiley_emoticons_marienkaefer.gif) (http://www.greensmilies.com/)

I was very happy to see how fast some graphical glitches I reported were fixed. Developers do great things for the game, thanks to them ;)

I used to play simutrans a long time ago when it was freeware but not open source.

I was so happy to see recently that it was open sourced :D. I can give a little back for all the fun I had.
