Version 6.5 contains some bug fixes, as well as all the latest fixes and enhancements from the latest nightly release of Simutrans-Standard. A full list of changes follows.
Changes
- CODE: Corrected some spelling errors in code comments.
- FIX: Incorrect behaviour and crashes when upgrading vehicles when there are vehicles of the type to which to be upgraded already in the depot. Now, vehicles will be upgraded irrespective of whether there are existing vehicles in the depot of the same type. To use the existing vehicles, one must use the "buy/sell" option instead of "upgrade".
- FIX: Maintenance of ways is never reduced to zero by scaling unless the base maintenance price is zero.
- FIX: Maintenance of ways was set incorrectly when loading a saved game with a different distance_per_tile setting than the current game.
Feedback and testingThanks to all those who have tested Simutrans-Experimental and provided useful feedback: bugs in the last version would not have been found were it not for the helpful input of testers. Any further feedback from this version would be very much appreciated, including (1) bug reports; (2) information as to how well-balanced that the game is; (3) any difference in approach/strategy needed for Simutrans-Experimental as over Simutrans-Standard; and (4) any other useful feedback.
Happy playing!
Edit: Monday, the 24th of August 2009 - updated the download links to point to the new Simutrans-Experimental FTP server kindly provided by Isaac.
