Title: Simutrans... in other places...
Post by: Isaac Eiland-Hall on September 18, 2010, 10:45:21 PM
I've got a web alert set up for "simutrans", so I'll post interesting things I find.

http://www.simtropolis.com/cityjournals/index.cfm?p=view&id=1836&page=1

There's the first - it's a City Journal over on Simtropolis, the website for SimCity.

In the german forum, Sojo has started to search and compile links, too:

http://www.simutrans-forum.de/forum/thread.php?threadid=2754&threadview=0&hilight=&hilightuser=0&page=4

The first few pages of the thread were centered around searching, rather. The reminder of the thread is more about Simutrans links. Some are of doubtful value, though.

^ From http://www.dedoimedo.com:

Quote(...) the game is a modern adaptation of the DOS-era game, with enhanced AI, much more sophisticated transport capabilities, new features, and more.

You may be put off by simple graphics - but you should not be. Simutrans is an extremely realistic and challenging game, with complex transport network system and strict rules (...)

Overall impression: Excellent
Quality of graphics: 8/10

That would not take into account the nightly downloads, which for many of us, is the only place we download Simutrans :)
