(One of the most Congested Stations on My game(Fictional, But with Japanese Real Station Names)(25.000.000passangers anually on the game))
The Eleveated Tracks(1 and 2) goes for Shinjuku and Subway Shibuya Line.
And the Underground Tracks (3 and 4) goes for Hon Atsugi and Odawara.
at this station also passes the Keio Inokashira Line at Ground Level.

Simutrans 102.1, pak128 + MLM dev. (for the stations) + TER 2n NG + z22500 (find here => http://www.simutrans-france.fr.nf/doku.php?id=en:fefe ).
Two suburb train lines running under/over the other. The downer one isn't very used so only TER 2n NG (or z26500) are used whereas the upper one uses z22500 since it's overcrowded.
This line cross the main city of the map which is entirely fictional with fictional names ...
The other line will go back in a tunnel because the city doesn't let any place for it :-[
Sorry gauthier and ger, the Theme is Landscape and player-vehilce. I think the images can not win. There are towns and no landscape or not much.
Will you send new pictures?
I thought towns can be part of the landscape ;D
Okay I will send another one ;)

Well, you may consider them as urban landscapes, sojo & MoTw .... :::)
P.S: The nightly winter scene from the german forum is simply beautifull!!

Thank you VS and gauthier for the pictures.
Thank you vilvoh for changing the title.
And please, don't forget to follow the competition's rules (see 1st post). I'll be using these screenshots on simutrans.com (mind you?)... our site needs a renewal badly. ;D
Well, here's my first try:

p96c (test version). The coaches are self-painted.
The last train of the night is heading for Lünen Bf. The surrounding landscape is very rural and quiet, only disturbed by the train track and the road connecting Lünen and Helsinki. The train is overtaking the taxi and accelerating up to 100 km/h. Soon, the driver will stop the engines and go to bed :)

A second one:
It's early sunday morning and the train driver is slowly accelerating his regio-shuttle. He's just entered the little forest over which one little balloon is flying :D Because of the time, there is no traffic on the street next to the track.

only one screenshot is allowed isn't it ?
Yes but perhaps MoTw want us to decide which one is better for the contest.. ;D
P.S: I've posted an announcement at blog.simutrans.com
that's do easy to make the other decide :-X
As for me, the first one would be the best but on day.

Umm, not really. I just found this screenshots in my folder and posted them, I'll decide later if I take one of these or look for another one. And maybe it's a motivation to others to post a shot. ;)

That's a bit of a low minimum, isn't it, for landscape images?
EDIT: Oh well. I've had a go... link to follow shortly.
Sojo said you are allowed to zoom.

j/k, actual title: "Overtaking"

@AP: Imho, It would look better if you disable the grid
It's cool with the grid, too. I like it!
You're probably right. I've played with grid on so much I don't notice it any more! Disregard earlier entry! I thought of a better title too:
"
What do you mean, the brakes don't work?"

I prefer that title (It's the (derisory) nickname of the BR logo, for those who don't recognise it!).
AEO the image is taken. But what pakset is it? Is it pak128, too?
wow I have no chance to win with a such picture :-X
by the way, with one the latest pak128 and simutrans SDL 102.1, I have no rivers ???
@sojo
same pakset as AP, pak128brit 1.07
(http://i330.photobucket.com/albums/l405/skoleboss/Contest2.jpg)
It was something i made some months ago, but it isn't ugly :)
The Japanese Simutrans Forum is participating in this competition too?
AEO: The same pakset? I can't see any picture from AP!
Igor, I think no. Because MoTw and I don't speak japanese.

Well, I studied Japanese four or five years ago, but just basic vocabulary and not how to write. And, I'm afraid, most of it is gone :-[
Looks like the typical USA scene with a long road that crosses the desert, and then a large rail convoy that crosses the horizont. The tittle is Waiting in the middle of nowhere :::)
(http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/9504/desertroad.th.png) (http://img20.imageshack.us/i/desertroad.png/)
That one looks very pretty. Vegetation, ground texture, vehicles, they all match really nice.
EDIT: Grammatical error.
Well, if the screenshot has to be Natural Landscape, i will have to participe with this photo.

The Shinkansen N700Series Bound for Kansai Ekimae(Kansai Station) Running near Futsukaichi city at 270 kph.
You can see, some rice fields, forest trees, the elevated section of the shinkansen tracks, and the most important Tourist Attraction in the region, The Hydragea and Zen Temple, surrounded by a couple of pagodas.
The temples are conected to the Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Train Station by a Bus Line.
Sorry for my bad english. (i´m trying to don´t use Translator)

AP, vilvoh, ger, I get your pictures. Very interessting pictures!
What pakset is it, vilvoh and ger?
Oh, I forgot it. pak128 1.4.5 + simutrans 102.2.1. I think ger's must be pak128.japan..
Thank you. :)
I like temples of the pak japan :D
Can I find them somewhere witheout downloading the entire pak japan ?
the temple addon is here: http://japanese.simutrans.com/index.php?Addon128%2FOthers
thanks a lot ;) I always found that pak128 has a lack of Asian buildings ;D
I have use Simutrans 102.2.1, pak128.japan, japanese.simutrans.com addons.
And i forgot a title for the screenshot, i think it could be: "A Shinkansen ride to the Zen Garden"

nice temple ;)
Btw, we could upload some of these screenshots to the Simutrans Sourceforge site.
The restrictions are very severe about size and memory on the sourceforge site.
Today's the last chance to participate!
If you haven't published your entry before, be fast not to miss the deadline!
The poll is going to start tomorrow.
Now it is over.
The poll starts in a few hours.
I had tried to create a poll with thread here. But it was not possible. I had it send to the forum and nothing happens. I waited 30 minutes. So I have created a poll in the German forum.
Link is here and is in english: http://www.simutrans-forum.de/forum/thread.php?threadid=5301
That's because Devotees can add polls only to their own topics.
I changed the settings for a while, so you're able to add a poll here.

For unknown reason, I've not been able to access simutrans-forum.de sites for 10 or 12 months (already reported long time ago too). I suspect my IP falls in a blocked IP range.

I still get the timeout. Perhaps it was too much text and images for a single post. I've posted a brief version with links to the images instead of thumbnails. You can vote for your favourite picture
here (http://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=4697.msg46221;topicseen#msg46221)
P.S: Now the poll is open, should we lock this topic?
The picture you put for me isn't the right one, it's the one I posted first but you said me you needed landscapes so I posted another one with a coal mine ;)
Ditto - the one on the poll is the one where I forgot to turn the grid off... as superseded here:

Sorry gauthier. Is my mistake. But I can't change it. (Maybe you will win!? ;))
AP your picture is not reachable.
We had some trouble to make this poll-thread. So all is untested published. Next time we need a other solution.

Thanks, and no worries; it's just a bit of fun! :D
