Title: First Hydrogen Locomotive under development
Post by: vilvoh on March 03, 2009, 04:01:13 PM
I was browsing meneame, the dig clone in spanish, when I found this interesting announcement (http://www.bnsf.com/media/news/articles/2008/01/2008-01-09a.html) from BNSF about the development of a Hydrogen Fuel Cell Switch Locomotive. They'll use an EMD GP-9, a Class 1 locomotive that actually consumes a lot of gas, for tests but the technology is still under development

As seems we'll have to create something similar for Simutrans, now the question is...would be possible?  ;D

P.S: a detailed explanation, in spanish...link (http://www.vialibre-ffe.com/noticias.asp?not=3166&cs=mate)

Yes, it's H-Trans-Pantheress... I will take it as template, for the new USA train set I'm working on.
