Title: meglev sets have too much capacity
Post by: ӔO on April 22, 2012, 11:47:15 PM
I think their capacity should be reduced by around 30% overall.
Basically what a mk4 would be, if it were really wide.

A more specific range
M10 front/rear - from 80 to 70 (5 seats per row, 14 rows)
M10 middle - from 122 to 90 (5 seats per row, 18 rows)
M10 buffet - no change

M20 front/rear - from 78 to 65 (5 seats per row, 13 rows)
M20 middle - from 122 to 90 (5 seats per row, 18 rows)
M20 buffet - no change

M30 front/rear - from 105 to 80 (5 seats per row, 16 rows)
M30 middle - from  162 to 120 (5 seats per row, 24 rows)
M30 buffet - no change

M21 front/rear - from 140 to 70
M21 middle - from 220 to 100

They could also stand to cost a good 50~100% more in maintenance.

Their capacity is quite low already, especially considering the already outrageous operating costs. It's not very easy to make them break even with uneven loading as it is...
