On the Chinese forum (https://forum.simutrans.com/index.php/topic,18299.0.html), a Steam player is asking for help because their save files have all disappeared. Has the new Standard release yesterday been pushed to Steam? Any other suggestions for what might cause this that I can try to pass on?
