Title: Getting Simutrans source code.
Post by: mad_genius on November 28, 2014, 11:16:40 PM
Sorry for the, probably, dumb question but what os the most current/correct way to get a copy (read-only obviously) of the Simutrans source code?
Is it using SVN or Git?

SVN is the way to go to get the latest commits. GIT just mirrors the SVN and occasionally has errors doing so (such as new users).

The Simutrans Experimental (semi-)fork uses only git, or so I believe. The various pak sets have their sources in various places.

I see, thanks for the help. What's the read-only URL of the repository?

Some time ago there was a topic where I suggested that the new game window could have a selection box for us to choose which citylist to use for the game, and finally I think I'm going to have some free time to try and give a look into the possibility of implementing that feature myself and try to submit a patch to the community.
That's why I'm asking for the latest code, with read-only permissions since I'm not a maintainer of the source code.
