Title: sliced map view
Post by: Roads on August 04, 2012, 06:35:52 PM
I'm pretty much a newbie working under ground.  The thing I want to do is use the landscape tools and build slopes so that I can build roads or track up hill or down hill.  Is this possible?

Yes, but you must build the road/track up to, and including, the tile the slope should be on. Then use the artificial slope tools, which also work above ground. When working in sliced underground, it's probably easiest to build the highest level first and then slope down, as slopes coming up from below are not visible and therefore difficult to relocate after changing level.

Thanks Ters!

Just did a quick little test to see if I understood.  It works...going to take a little practice to get use to it...kinda hard but don't see how it could be made easy.  Anyway, just glad we have it.  Thanks to all who developed/coded this.
