Title: train signals

I have put signals with the 'drag signal method' on some long rail line.
Two questions :

- is there a way to change the spacing of the signals ? ( every two tiles by default)
- is there a method to either remove them all, or change their direction (yes I stupidly put them of the wrong side of the rail)

ctrl+click will bring up spacing.

I'm pretty sure there is a tool to remove all objects on the rail, but it may not exist in the pakset.

Btw thinking about it if I put a spacing of 500 it should remove all signs :-)

1-50  is the spacing range :P (though you should NEVER use 1, because then trains will never go over 100kmp)

Hello, I have tried this new feature - dragging signals, but I find it not very convenient for me. I usually build the signals in the opposite direction than used by the dragging tool. I prefer to put the last signal right in front of crossing at the end of double track, and then space the signals evenly towards the start of the double track. And I never put the first signal of track too close to crossings at the start. Is there any special reason why dragging signals is sensitive to the direction which is the first signal facing?

The only issue with the drag-signal tool I find is that I usually want a different signal spacing on diagnal track than on orthogonal track (because a different number of vehicles fit on a diagonal way than an orthogonal one).

I thought the drag tool was sensitive to which direction one drags, not the direction of the first signal. The first signal just ends up facing that way. I too space my signals backwards like Vladki describes, but I'm worried that it wouldn't be intuitive for the tool to do so.

And I saw some commit regarding signal spacing on diagonals lately, but I haven't tested it.

Maybe ctrl+drag could place them backwards. This is the case where a hidden modifier would be handy: it's a power function for power users, where the default behavior would be the intuitive one.

I thought a bit about that and it sounds appealing, but I'm not sure how that would work with the previewing of the signals.

The signals will face in the direction in which one drags.

There was a bug with spacing on diagonals, which is fixed in the nightlies.

Ah, probably not made it's way over to experimental yet then (which is where I've been playing lately...)
