steps to reproduce

1. load server game save
2. switch to public player
3. advance year to 1930 (as long as there are diesel buses)
4. switch to any player owning horse and coaches
5. use vehicle replacer and "replace all" with any diesel bus

game should crash.

I think that I have fixed this now on my 10.x branch - thank you for the report!
