I have Ubuntu Linux 11.10 and have installed simutrans. I have downloaded a steam train pak but have no directions as to where it should be installed. I have tried searching for the two pak scenarios but am unable to locate either. Where do I install pak files? :o
Go to the simutrans folder in your home directory. Create a new folder under simutrans/addons/ with exactly the same name of the pakset you want to use your addon with (for example "pak" or "pak128.Britain.113"). Copy or extract your addon in this folder.
When you start simutrans, you now get the option "load with addons" for this pakset. Choose this to use your addon in your games.
