LS,
This picture was attached to a message in the German Forum.
Looks like a "drive thru" truck station. Would like to see whether I can use that also as an add-on to my pak64 game (maybe after updating).
Besides the drive thru, I also like to possibility of having two or more after each other.
But.. I cannot find this station in the different pakset I checked (pak64 german, pak128 german, pak128).
Does anyone konw where this is located/how it is named ?
Herman
Edit : Updated to attach a better picture
I can't see the image, it's so small.
Could you please upload the image here http://imgur.com/ or here http://files.simutrans-germany.com/ (set 'Days valid' to zero)?
IIRC, pak 128 has these by default, others may be addons.
96 comic has too.
You can use this one from my own pak. One of the improvements I made. I don't know where the one comes from you posted, but this one has more or less the same idea.
Timothy made them: http://entropy.me.uk/simutrans/graphics_archive/
LS,
I used Timothy's source files to create the attached pakfile. Needed to update the datfile because it used the out-of-date type=busstop and made it to a level 1 station like the standard platform.
See the resulting transport hub I have in the game.
The leftmost is the goodsstop from combuijs. I'd liked timothy's because of the identical view of the original stop.
Not sure however whether the choose sign will work correctly on this halt. I think there are possibilities that a route is blocked by a waiting truck to the choosen platform.

I guess that depends on whether the choose sign sees a column of loading bays as a single destination just like choose signals see a column of platform tiles as a single destination. (Though technically, I think the logic is in the vehicles, not the signs/signals.)
If it doesn't work as a column.... I sense an extension request :D
I'm not sure about europe, but in NA, at a depot like the one pictured, each truck will get its own loading bay.
It is not exactly unusual to have a truck loading bay that's 40 wide. on both sides. of two buildings. sometimes double stacked.
In simutrans, if the depot is a dead end, I think there were requests in the past to allow two trucks to park there instead of only one.
It's just that loading bays like these in Simutrans are for loading vehicles more than one tile long. They are not really useful for anything else, as vehicles stop in the road. Rows of loading bays must be done by placing them at 90 degree to a road.
At road freight terminals around here, trucks stand side by side, not front to back, but the other way around compared to how it is in Simutrans.
The choose sign will work, if you are carefully: For trucks longer than one tile, assign the terminal tile as default. For trucks shorter than one tile, use the entry tile! As a result two short truck will enter into choosing destinations.
