Some time ago, hard to say when, I found that when vehicle is sent into depot, this vehicle loose assigning to any line. This behaviour is not rare - but I still was not able to find in which cases is this happening.
Until this time, I saw this behaviour only with trams - but may it be that it is happening also with other types of vehicles.
