Title: Reversing and so on... (11.5)
Post by: Junna on August 15, 2013, 07:34:51 PM
Now it seems that trains reversing at a station, with a waypoint before it, will ignore the signal before the station and drive right up onto the train in the station. This is even more cumbersome than the previous problems.

Is this related to the bug I posted here, or a different problem?

I am not sure, but it is happening at a site where it never happened before; those are trains on the same line with the same schedule that enter a station where the trains are waiting for schedule.

I have found and fixed this on the 11.x branch - thank you for the report.

In tracking down the problem, I have also made one or two other changes: no longer will trains have to come to a stop to be given an alternative route by a choose signal. In stations, trains will reserve most of the platform when they reverse (which should prevent an issue earlier identified by Carl where reversing and non-reversing trains share a platform). If a player accidentally uses the route setting tool to cancel a route in a platform by a train occupying it (or a bug causes this to happen), other trains will nonetheless refuse to enter that platform (or piece of track) whilst another train is there. Finally, trains will now no longer set a route out of platforms until they have finished reversing, which should help to prevent blockages.
