Title: Random Environment button
Post by: Spacethingy on November 24, 2013, 08:01:18 PM
We already have a button that randomises the heightmap when creating a new game - any chance of one that mashes up the landscape settings to create a different combination of biomes, water height and mountain height each time?

I appreciate that I can spam these numbers manually myself anyway, but then, I can also manually change the map number seed too, yet that has a random map button.  :D

I would rather have some pakset specific pre-sets like Alps, Mediterranean, etc... setting a range of climates relative to real world or fictional landscapes. e.g. if I want to play with a warm landscape or a northern one.

I'm not sure where, but I think there was a discussion about Seed Numbers.

A seed number is a long random number (8-16 digits) that generates not only the terrain but also the position of cities, structures etc. If you share this number, anyone could generate the exact world with same object layout.
