This has also been around since at least r6943.

Underground lines can now be joined to tunnel entrances, which of course looks weird and is wrong, as how can a line exist sideways under a sloped tile?
:o
This wasn't tested with the pak64 nightly as I can't get it - the area on the nightly page for it is blank.
Try this to watch... ;)

In these two cases, it could almost be a feature, but only because the tunnel openings cover the entire tile. Although the side triangles ruin it slightly.
I think this bug has been around for ages. Here is a fix.
I am not sure if this is a feature or a bug :P
On the pro side, it's the way I could build diagonal tunnel entrances. Otherwise, each time a train on a diagonal track enters a tunnel, it must slow down due to the curve...
Agree. It's a rather harmless glitch bordering with a useful (hidden) feature.
I'd call it an Easter egg and keep it ;)
