Title: Tram stops
Post by: itye1970 on December 20, 2013, 07:37:50 AM
What do you use for a tram stop? I tried simple platform but nobody seemed to get on the tram?

I'm using pak.128.

Also can anyone explain the difference between a line and a schedule?

Thanks

You may use road stops if they are to be placed on a road. If not, you can use train stops. In any case, be sure of using stops that allow passengers (simple platform doesn't), or add a passenger extension to the station.

About lines, you can apply same line to different vehicles, while you can't do that with a schedule, which affects only to a single vehicle.

when you say road stops are these bus stops? As i have tried bus stops but it wont let me add them to a tram line. What other road stops would be used?

Thanks

Bus stops indeed. Are you sure there is tramrail on the stop?

You can place tram rails not only directly on grass/ground, but also over a road. If you place them over a road, then you can use bus stops on them; if not, you need to use tram or train stations. That is because bus stops require a road to be placed on, and tram/train stations require a rail track instead.

Internally trams tracks are nothing but rail tracks allowed to be placed on roads. Hence you have to keep in mind this double nature to understand tram behavior. You can also use train signals.
