Title: Where to find Checksums when downloading files?
Post by: Green on October 15, 2021, 01:25:44 AM
This topic maybe be a general suggestion, rather than a bug report. I think some people want to checksum downloaded simutrans' main engine or packsets. It is important to provide checksums to users. We had better upload MD5SUM or SHA512SUM files in the same directory. It would help users for convenience, because it is the default manner for downloading files from ftp sites in many Linux distributions.

For example, there is "pak128.zip" at https://sourceforge.net/projects/simutrans/files/pak128/pak128%20for%20ST%20120.4.1%20%282.8.1%2C%20priority%20signals%20%2B%20bugfix%29/ . So we can include md5sum check file or like this in the same directory.
See https://ftp.riken.jp/Linux/debian/debian-cd/current/amd64/iso-cd/ for reference.

Please consider this issue once. Thank you.

If you click on the "i" to the right, you get the checksums.

Thank you. They are available. I didn't notice the function.
