Continuing from the New England railroads, I decided to branch out and introduced unique railroad photos from across the country.
First up, here is Oahu Railway engine number 6, nicknamed, 'Kauila'. In days gone by, the State of Hawaii (Hawaii was a Territory back then) actually had an extensive railroad network that rivaled those found on the mainland and most of the islands of paradise had one or more lines and most of these were of the narrow gauge. By the end of World War Two however, the era of the railroad in Hawaii had ended and today, other then suburban trolley lines and the future Honolulu Transit, there are no more railroads on the islands except tourist railroads.

Today we have something modern, CSX Engine #1776, nicknamed 'Spirit of the Armed Forces', a General Election GE ES44AH recently repainted back in 2019 in military camouflage to honor and support the troops.

That's pretty cool. If I'm not mistaking, that was for the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City right?
Today, we have a Florida East Coast train on the Overseas Railroad. The Overseas Railroad was built in 1912 to connect mainland Florida with the various Florida Keys. The Railroad was annihilated in the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 and never rebuilt.
